Zahir hit first century in Hungary!
The HCA wishes to extend its biggest CONGRATULATIONS to Safi Zahir of Kohinoor, who created Hungarian cricketing history on Sunday 3rd May 2009 by becoming the first ever Centurion in the game's history in this country. Zahir batted at 3 for Kohinoor in their friendly match against the Baggy Blues, and began his innings in the first over of the match. The 18-year-old was still there at the end of the 30th over, having reached his century in the last over of the innings and finishing on 103 not out. The highlight of his innings was 5 sixes in a row (in an over in which he did not face the first ball)! Report + card The first HCL century was struck by Mark Ahuja in the Royal Tigers' crushing victory over Green Kings on Sunday 16th August card
