       |
| Flintshire, Wales, 19-26 August 2009 |
Hungary took part in the Carmel Invitational Euro Twenty20, but failed to win any of their four matches in the tournament proper
In their first group match, Flanders scored 151 (despite Leckonby's 3 for 6) and Hungary came up short by 29 runs (despite Ed Allnutt's 47) report + card
In their second match, Allnutt scored 36 not out and Leckonby again took three wickets but that wasn't enough to stop New Victoria reaching their target of 98 with three wickets left card
The third defeat came at the hands of the hosts Carmel by 6 wickets - the loss left them with just one point from their group matches and sent them into the Plate competition card
Unfortunately, Hungary went down at the hands of Croatia by 18 runs, despite Leckonby's 33, and thus ended their stay in the tournament card
Hungary quickly arranged a friendly match against Bulgaria, which they won by 2 wickets with 2 balls to spare thanks to 25 from Mahesh Singh and 32 from Will Pohl
Flanders were the winners of the Trophy, beating hosts Carmel in the final. Croatia beat New Victoria in the Plate final. Alderney won the spirit of cricket award. Russia were the other team in the tournament |
